GlobalDOSE – dose monitoring system

Manage your patients' radiation dose simply, in one system.

GlobalDOSE is vendor-neutral dose tracking software designed in line with Council Directive 2013/59/Euratom. It helps track and reduce patient dose exposure, prevents overdosing and supports daily work with visual tools.

Vendor-neutral dose tracking

The software extracts dose data from equipment of every manufacturer (e.g. GE, Siemens, Philips) and presents it in aggregated form. There is no need to standardise an existing mixed fleet: dose data from every device ends up in one system.

Central management dashboard

  • Data can be aggregated at institutional, regional or even national level, making dose exposure easy to track.
  • Doses can be filtered and aggregated per patient, per device, per physician or per hospital.
  • The system detects poorly optimised protocols that lead to overdosing and raises automatic warnings.

Avoiding patient overdose

  • The system analyses all image data locally and stores the required metadata (e.g. slice thickness, kV, pitch).
  • Alerts on overdose.
  • The reporting or validating physician can use the stored metadata and insert it into the report header as supplementary information.

System functions

  • Recording of dose values
  • Transfer of dose values to the HIS/RIS
  • Communication with the central server
  • Visual presentation of data
  • Transfer of preconfigured data into report template fields
  • Display of time elapsed between two examinations
  • Display of average examination time
  • Alerts on overdose
  • Search by protocol
  • Retrospective dose recording for radiotherapy planning

Supported modalities

Abbreviation Modality
CT computed tomography
PET positron emission tomography
PET/CT PET combined with CT
X-ray radiography
MG mammography

Tip

GlobalDOSE is vendor-neutral — it collects dose data from your existing mixed fleet in one system regardless of equipment manufacturer, and forwards it to the HIS/RIS and to the report.
